Reminders before camp!
Hello,
If you don't already know, camp is 12-14 March and here are some reminders with regards to your packing list.
1. You need to bring track pants along with your T-shirts, socks and sports shoes etc. Track pants are compulsory for those who want to participate in the High Elements activities to prevent the harness from cutting into your flesh. ie. No track pants = no high elements activities. You are strongly encouraged to participate in these activities because you already paid for them.
2. You will also need to ensure that you bring COMFORTABLE SUITABLE sports shoes because there is going to be a HIKE so it is quite unwise to bring shoes that will fall apart within ten steps.
3. Bring a suitably powerful torchlight. A torchlight that gives light within 5cm is not exactly useful. That said, ensure that the torchlight is actually powered by batteries that will not die quickly.
4. You need to let the campstaff / PLs know if you have any specialised medicine. If it is a small item like an inhaler, then be sure to keep it with you AT ALL TIMES. As for bulkier items like bottled medicine etc, store such medicine in a ziploc bag and label it with your name. Pass it to the campstaff and we will keep it in a centralised area for you to prevent wasting time looking for medicine in unknown dorms and countless bags when an emergency crops up.
5. The campsite is highly forested, so you should bring insect repellent, especially for those who are more prone to insect bites.
6. The area would get extremely cold at night so remember to bring a sleeping bag and a jacket.
7. Take note: if your gadgets are too big to fit into the bus, you will have to dismantle it and rebuild it when you reach the campsite.
8. You need to be assembled at 9am 12 March which is this coming Wednesday, don't be late.
9. Bring stationery. You will need to write some stuff.
10. Bring an alarm clock or any device that will wake you up effectively because we don't take kindly to people who are late in falling in. And remember you are supposed to surrender your handphones to the campstaff so use something else.
11. Not sure if this was added to the packing list, but BRING CLOTHES HANGERS. or it will be quite inconvenient when you want to hang your clothes, or your stuff will end up taking up a lot of space on the clothes lines. tyvm
12.If you have lost your packing list, get it from someone else. Make sure you pack EXACTLY to the list because those items are on the list for a reason. If we find anything missing from your bag during inspection, we will make you go home and take it.
PLs/APLs, either tell the guides in your patrol to read this blog or make sure you notify them about what's being said here.
Okay, after all these preparations, do bear in mind that this camp is carefully planned by your seniors so that it will be fun and enjoyable for you, so I hope you'll look forward to it and take every opportunity to make new friends / try something new / etc. (:

Woah..Just because of one small catapult, we'll have to thank so many people! Hah but true enough its a huge improvement from er, the past years. xD
Will try our best to learn AND teach you guys more structures and stuff! So that we'll start improving our CCA's reputation.
Of course, we shouldn't forget the people who drew and put up the LOADS AND LOADS of 'JOIN GUIDES' posters! Hahaha, the school is really infested with those stuff. xD I could hear people talking about it while walking pass the science block. (Because apparently, there's SIXTEEN Guides posters along that stretch at last count. Hahahaha)
Had fun wearing your NEW collar badges? Its nice right! Wear it everyday on your schoo uniforms only, on your left collar. Unless you have another badge that's on the left already then move it to the right..
And just to remind you people, for every single drills session. Which is set on Tuesdays,
Venue: Lower Sec Carpark or otherwise stated.
Time: 3pm
Attire: POLISHED boots with PT Kit.
/EDITEDITEDIT: I mean NEXUS campus carpark. xD
And of course failure to turn up would mean...Hahah, you know what it means.

THANK YOU!~
I would like to thank some people:
1) The Sec3s for coming on Thurs to help us build the catapult structure upon such a short notice.
2) OF course, those Sec4s who helped to build the structure too
3) Some other Sec4s who built the rack thingy
4) Sec3s and Sec4s who wanted to come but couldn’t due to some activities they already had
5) Those Sec3s and Sec4s who came for awhile as they had something on later
6) Hahas. And Hui Lin, Jia Min and Xiang Qin for accompanying me to tell the Sec3s during recess in which it turned out that they have a MUCH MORE SHORTER recess.
7) Ming Xian. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Hey folks...
Ms Koh said that the guides banner for the cca roadshow should be hung at the upper sec campus since the sec ones next year will be occcupying the classrooms there.
And I think she's referring to the posters too...
Well, 2008 is just a few days away! Whether you are looking forward to it or not, school is still going to start. Wait a minute, i hearing people moaning because they have a huge pile of you-know-what-it-is on their study. Complete your homework if you have not done so... It isn't very pleasant to hear teachers nagging on the first few days of school yea?
So see you girls on 2 Jan 2008!!!
(P.S. sleep early and don't come to school being morphed into pandas! LOL.)

Yo-liness, people.
If anyone has forgotten, I'd like to remind people that you should not enter the Haven unless you've gotten permission from any of the Sec 3 ma'ams (And yes! you really should call us ma'ams you know! Not only PLC members but all Sec 3s!)
You may want to ask some Sec 2s-they've been punished by us already.
So, just ask for permission from us before entering, and enter only when a ma'am is with you! I'm mean we did when we were small sec 1s/2s juniors.

actually i also dont noe what to write
so i guess just follow the NYAA booklet bah?
see what criteria etc. then just crap abt ur reflections etc.
try to hand in after exam. =)
if u want to give me in sch, look for me at 3P1 classroom.
btw good luck for ur exams!

It is always nice to see photos of the times we have shared together. Thanks for faithfully uploading the photos.
I want to wish you all (current and "older" guides) all the best during for your exams. I don't wish to get any feedback that you guys aren't doing well.
After the exams, training will resume, under the leadership of our new committee... Let us all show our support and hold all judgements. It is not easy but i have faith that this new committee will lead us to greater heights....
