There will be gardening nxt wed, 1 Aug.
The people involved are SeeWoon, Vanessa, Jane, Hui Lin, Shairah, Ainn, Sarah, Qhurzierah, Ai Xin, Jasmine Ng, Qianni, Yi Lei, Li Ting and Eunice.
Meet at 3pm at the DnT block. Wear half sch u, with pe shorts. so that u can change into pt kit when u reach there. :) Mr Ong will be going with us nxt wk.
After that, we must go on our own for the other dates. Oh ya, according to Ms Phua, we will be given around $10+ for our taxi transport cos we will have to take own transport.
I will confirm with Ms Phua and pls check the guides noticeboard for more details, just in case there is any change. =)

Sale of Personalised Keychain

Hi, this is yijun. First time posting... Sry for taking so long to pop in...
I am posting to inform all BP guides about a fund-raising project introduced to us by Sock Hong, our senior. This project is to raise funds for the poor in Cambodia. The money raised will go to an organisation called Khmer Life whose mission is to train the locals in Cambodia so they can learn some skills to make a living.

Money will be raised through the sale of personalised keychains made by the people in Cambodia themselves. One will cost $2.50. You can personalise it, but maximum 8 letters or 8 chinese characters. Your orders will take about a month to arrive as they have to be sent to Cambodia to be made and back.

If you are interested in buying a keychain, pls look for me after school in my class, 4M1, either on tomorrow, thursday or friday. Pls also help by spreading this msg among all the guides in BP, from sec 1 to sec 4. I will collect the money from you during this friday's meeting, so if you do not bring it, I may decide to cancel your order.

NDP Rehearsal!

Hey girls,
it's the 1st NDP Rehearsal tomorrow! Do your best ok?! Your drill's standard are still way below standard, please buck up and prove that you can do it!

Please make sure you have your meal before you go for the rehearsal, and drink lots and lots of water. PLEASE DO NOT FAINT!!! Guides has always been the strongest with fewest records of people falling out during NDP, so TAKE CARE.. wriggle your toes frequently and when you feel dizzy....

Just a reminder of what to bring tomorrow.
1) FULL GUIDES UNIFORM
2) Boots (Polished)
3) Beret
4) Gloves (Buy or borrow from Guides Haven if you don't have. Baina has bought the gloves for tomorrow)

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I won't be able to make it to guides meeting every friday due to remedials, but it doesn't mean that you can slack! I might pop by some day?! hahaha =)

This is Xin Le here.. erm.. think i graduated in 2005? i was sec 4 in 2004 lar (you get what i mean...) haha.. yeah.. i know.. i'm freaking old too...

hmm.. used to take e sec 2 and sec 3 (bouncing guidos) batch for drills.. yeah yeah.. i noe.. i NEVER fail to forget commands... then all keep laughin at me.. =P...

yup.. and how we always will count strength after drills.. mingxian and huilin's that two batches will always come up with all sorts of number callings or name callings.. haha.. it was funny...

heard a few things about the guides and stuff.. hey! you guys are so much more organized and (if i may say) capable than us... its like alot of activities and all.. haha.. cool...

have fun in guidings, okay? won't forget my days in BP..

haha.. collecting Thinking day badges are fun.. and we collect all sorts of badges to put our sleeves just so that they will look good.. haha.. and we won't be able to wipe our hands on our sleeves...

if you had actually read this jiewei's post sometime ago, i'm one old girl from her batch too. graduated in 2003, joined guides in 2000 (yes you must be thinking OMG I WAS ONLY IN PRI x then!) and was screaming my way through guiding for 4 whole years.

actually i don't know why huilin invited us to this blog, it took me awhile to accept the invitation cos i've been so detached from guiding for 3-4 years, i can't really remember how the guiding days were like. then i saw the pictures on this blog at the side, all the e-shelters, the stupid pioneering, time spent in the classroom passing clauses, travelling to bishan to the HQ to buy badges and walking the very muddy path (i hope it's no longer muddy), going to campfires on Saturday nights, singing campfire songs, screaming at my girls during the drill sessions (haaa..i was the drill mistress lor if not why scream 4 years) and calling my guides the BOUNCING GUIDES cos their drills were really bad they looked like they were bouncing from far.

really miss the days when we had to pack up for camp. bathed in 5 minutes, sharing one water hose in one pathetic toilet with 10 over guides. the fun of wearing full-u black boots, the very mafan scarf, always not easy to have a perfect knot, the polishing of the trefoil and whistle.

and yes, i miss blowing the whistle and shout "FALL IN!!!! WALK SOMEMORE!" ask huilin and her seniors, they'll probably remember me as the one who kept screaming at them during drill sessions.

i hope yall haf fun in guiding. i'm going to say something really cliche and sound like an old hag:

treasure your guiding days while you can, the days cannot be relived once you graduate from BPGHS. you will never get to wear your blue uniform officially again, you won't find the need to polish those badges, and there won't be new Thinking Day badge for you the next year after you graduate. so cherish all the times you have with your fellow guides now.

Games Day thing

Remember the Games Day competition thing Ms Koh told some of us, Sec 3s, on West div Day? Its cancelled because, as quoted from Ms Koh:

"The Games Day don't think we'll be participating as it's on 28 July. Your Common Tests are on the Monday after that (July 30, but!!! PJ told us its late Aug! I'll confirm later.) Think best study first.. (Yahyah. xD) We'll send you other competitions."

Yeah..so I'm just telling you people the message. Erm, gogogo for people having Orals or whatever tests.

He will be familiarising you girls with the routine whenever you go. This can be counted for as one of the six sessions. Please update your NYAA regularly.

Sec 2s (Except 2c) will be down at HQ for Pioneering. Learn and have fun!!! It will be tiring!

However now since the blog is set as private, i guess it would not be necessary. I guess it would save you some trouble too right? Still, you will need to upload the images onto photobucket as well. So, it depends whether you want to use blogger uploader or straight from photobucket. ALL up to you. =).

If you are uploading from photobucket, you just need to click the HTML Tag of that image once and paste over.
Then you just need to add in height="250" before the tag >< / a>
